Can I really pay any bill with the Papaya app?
Yes, Papaya works for all bills in the United States! If you can take a photo or screenshot of it, we can pay it.
Can I pay bills that don't mention Papaya?
Yes, you can pay any merchant in the United States with Papaya!
How do I know if my payment is accepted?
Papaya has paid tens of thousands of merchants in the United States on behalf of our users. You can rest assured that Papaya can pay your bill. In the very rare circumstance that we encounter a problem with your payment, Papaya will alert you as quickly as possible.
How is it possible that Papaya can pay any bill?
Papaya has developed advanced technology that extracts the information we need from the picture of your bill. We use a variety of techniques to pay your bill. If necessary, we'll even make a phone call or mail a check on your behalf.
Is Papaya free to use?
Yes, Papaya is always completely free to use when you pay with a bank account. On some occasions, Papaya may charge a small card processing fee. The Papaya app will alert you to any fee before accepting your payment.
Is Papaya secure?
Papaya takes your security very seriously, and uses state of the art technologies to protect it. Papaya uses bank-level security in all of our processes. Data is securely encrypted and transferred over SSL (Secure Socket Layer) connections that are both PCI (level II) and HIPAA compliant.
Do you sell or give my data to anyone?
Absolutely not. We have a strict policy of never sharing or selling your data with any third parties, except when necessary to complete your bill payments. We never share your location data or any other type of personal data that is not necessary to complete your bill payments.
Can I delete the payment methods I’ve added to the app?
Yes, you can! First, tap on 'Account' on the menu bar at the bottom of your screen. Next, select 'Payment Methods'. From here, tap 'Edit'. Red delete buttons will appear to the left of payment methods that can be removed.
Can I edit or cancel a bill payment after I’ve submitted it in the app?
Bills submitted through Papaya can be edited or canceled up until the point that payment has been issued. In order to edit or cancel your bill tap on the History tab located within the menu bar at the bottom of your screen. Find and tap the bill you would like to edit or cancel. Click “Options” in the top corner (if your bill can no longer be edited or canceled, this option will be disabled). Any editing or cancellation options still available for that bill will be present in the options menu.
